Neal Auricchio, a police officer from Woodbridge, NJ, hanging out with friends at the Geno’s Steakhouse located on 1200 South 9th Street in Philadelphia on Monday night. Both were wearing a New York Rangers Hockey jerseys, celebrating their team’s victory at the Winter Classic outdoor game in the Philadelphia Flyers citizens Bank Park.
According to police, some fans of the flyers hired a homeless man sprayed water from a spray bottle cleaning in the face of the fan of the Rangers. Which resulted in a verbal altercation, which led to attacks by people who were arrested in stocking brochure video and surprised the nation.
Neal Auricchio, 30 year old ex-Marine who won the purple heart for its work in Iraq, was released from the hospital after suffering injuries in the struggle.
